“In the distant future, humanity has spread to the stars and colonized other worlds. Alien life has been found in abundance, although most of it is primitive, with occasional hints and remnants of long-dead civilizations. Nevertheless, colonists have reported hostile encounters with fierce alien predators on many different planets. The universe is a dangerous and unforgiving place.
Despite these numerous external threats, not all people work toward a common good. Political games and corporate espionage are ongoing problems, as are piracy, smuggling, and other criminal activities. To overcome these challenges, governments maintain and deploy highly-trained military forces.
You are commandos, elite troopers specializing in front-line reconnaissance and covert operations. If your government needs its best soldiers for a critical mission, your names will be on the shortlist.”
Inspired by movies such as Aliens, Starship Troopers, and Pitch Black, Interstellar Troopers is a standalone scenario for the Tricube Tales system and is usable as a micro-setting, but it is also a fully self-contained one-page RPG in its own right. You can print it on a single sheet of paper: The first page includes everything you need to play, while an optional second page expands the adventure generator with examples and twists. The PDF uses layers for ease of printing.
