Gobblin' Expansion Classes

So you've mastered Gobblin'! You've tried all 13 Specialties and crave even more stupidity to play with. You've broken the game and want to see just how far you can go in ruining the post-apocalypse. For stranger, even further mix-maxed lunacy, we offer you the First Day DLC Character Pack for wildly ridiculous and comically untested character types.

The First Day DLC Character Pack includes 5 new playable Specialties (our word for character classes) to add to your options. As with all the other goblins, they come with both benefits and penalties for their specialization.

  • The Whozit: a mysterious breed of shapeshifting goblin. They use their powers to hide their secret from their teammates while improving their stats and blending in with enemies. On the other hand, they have big appetites and cannot keep their mouth shut, making them pretty crappy spies.
  • The Delusionist: after realizing that important humans wore badges and uniforms, some obsessive goblins started gathering random costumes to harness their power. Their aggressive faith in fashion grants them bonuses based on their attire, creating a flexible human expert! Of course, they can get a little jumpy if someone messes with their clothes.
  • The Unruly Mob: one skilled goblin can be trouble. A bunch of stupid ones can be downright chaos. The player is given a small gang or troop of goblins to abuse their numbers to swarm and dogpile their opponents with multiple attacks. Their dependence on each other leaves them overall weak and unskilled, and a whole group of running, screaming goblins are even harder to contain than one.
  • The Coalheart: a blessed chosen one (whether willing or not) of the Torchbearers, a mad cult of the Statue of Liberty. Coalhearts shrug off fire damage while dealing more when wielding flaming weapons against their foes. Their instinctive pyromania can lead to problems as they struggle with the constant urge to light candles, incense, torches, or buildings on fire.
  • The Chaos Cursed: a goblin who stole, ate or merged with a magic item beyond their control. Players choose an element (or all of them!) that shoots out of their goblin based on a chosen trigger. Some burp fire spells. Some sneeze necromancy. Others will shoot rainbows or conjure voices of angels when they say the word "food." Throw the dice and find out what you're doing this turn and if you can control it! And try not to sneeze...

This is an expansion set for Gobblin' the goblin RPG. While entertaining, this book is almost useless without its accompanying system to help create and play these characters.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
