Fellowship Book 3 - In Rebellion

Selected Option:

Fellowship is a game for 3-6 players about going on an adventure, in the same vein as Lord of the Rings or Wakfu or Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders. The system is loosely based on the Apocalypse Engine. This is the third book in the Fellowship line, an expansion to the first game. You will need the first book to play with the content found in Book 3. You do not need Book 2, but can use its content alongside the content found here in Book 3.

In Rebellion is an expansion book for Fellowship. Within this book, you will find 6 new Fellowship playbooks, a replacement Overlord playbook, and a new kind of playbook, a Team playbook, used by the entire Fellowship cooperatively. There's also a slew of new Destinies, Threats, and Set Pieces, as well as The Nemesis, a new type of playbook that adds another player who works with the Overlord or the Empire against the fellowship.

The Empire is an alternative to the Overlord playbook. Rather than stop an evil overlord from destroying the world as we know it, the Empire has already conquered the world. They succeeded. The fellowship must work as a rebel alliance to overthrow the iron grip of the fascist Empire and destroy them from the inside out. They have sources of power that empower the entire Empire as long as they stay standing, and Leaders who inspire their soldiers and make them stronger. Both their power sources and leaders must be destroyed or defeated to make the Empire collapse.

This book contains updated versions of The Giant, The Dragon, The Pair, The Remnant, and The Spider expansions from the 1st edition of Fellowship. As such, I have disabled the outdated versions of those products. If you are looking for them, you will find them within this book.

No, the Empire does not level up. They advance entirely through their Master Plan.

I'm going to run The Empire framework in my Fellowship game, but a lot of the moves and facets of the framework is tied to The Rebellion Team Playbook.

Does that mean The Empire requires that team playbook to be used or that moves and facets involving The Rebellion should be ignored?

My players are all completely new to rpgs, so they didn't want the extra work of using The Rebellion, at least to start with.

Could it be possible for you to make seperate Destiny playbooks for In Rebellion, like you have with the other books?
Yes I can print out the destinies from the book itself but it would be nice to have all the playbooks have the same layout.

Dunno if you’ve checked since you posted this, but the Destiny playbooks are part of the Individual Playbooks zip file now, so you should be able to have all your destinies and playbooks using the same layout. Hope that helps!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
