Also includes a double handful of fey monsters with different attributes depending on which name they are using, and at least one player character surprise. By Steven Warzeha.

August 2016Alarums & Incursions: Downtime for Six Icons. If you recognized some of these as Gloranthan creatures, that’s because this issue of the Monthly will include content aimed at 13th Age in Glorantha that will be perfectly at home in other fantasy campaign worlds. By Rob Heinsoo with help from ASH LAW.

October 2016Nymphs. December 2016: High Druid’s World. To the followers of the High Druid, the world’s forests and mountain ranges are as distinctive as the Seven Cities are to the followers of civilized icons. Short notes on the High Druid’s motivations feed into sections on terrain and monster stats that make the wilderness’ magical distinctions meaningful in play. By Rob Heinsoo.

How does one get the second season of the Tales of the 13th Age adventures when there is no longer an option for subscription?

Does this include the Free RPG Day 2016 adventure ("Swords Against the Undead"), or do you only receive that if you purchase it directly from Pelgrane Press?

Thanks for the question! It does include Swords Against the Dead and The Van Helsing Letter - we've updated the text to reflect this.

When can we expect 'Mass Combat' to be released? Also, what will December's title be?

We've changed the production schedule for this, so November's title is now Further Alarums: Downtime for Seven Icons. This is already available on your subscription. The December issue, High Druid’s World, has been delayed, as Rob has been ill - we're hoping to have that ready in the next two weeks.

Thank you for the quick response! Can't wait for the High Druid's World article. It's a shame there isn't going to be a Volume 3, as I would have bought it as soon as it became available, but hopefully, some time down the line, you'll be able to have the time to commit to another volume.

*Nymphs* is already available as a separate purchase: when will it be made available to those of us who bought this subscription?

This was added to your subscription on November 1st.

I checked my order, and Nymphs isn't in my downloads anywhere - it isn't under the 13th Age Monthly Volume 2 entry, nor on the individual page (as "You have purchased this product! Click to get it!").

I must've rolled poorly on a negative relationship Icon check.

We've checked with DTRPG and it is now perfectly downloadable to all subscribers, and they have now fixed the issue that slowed down the process of getting it to customers, so it should not be an issue in the future.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
