CCC-MACE01-01 The Blight of Geoffrey

ADD TO WISHLIST >

Lord Geoffrey of the Smiths’ holdings has been struck by misfortune. He seeks adventurers to resolve issues at one of his farms, in his iron mine, and at his beloved inn. Can the party help Geoffrey and prevent him from losing his seat on the Merchant Council of Hulburg?

About Mount Ogden Gaming Company

MOGC is a group of gamers that decided to jump in and take advantage of the CCC program offered by Wizards of the Coast. The adventures we create support the conventions we organize and participate in through the Rocky Mountain RPG Guild. We also work with Under the Wing Gaming who runs our social media campaigns and community outreach. Finally, yet importantly Raven+Moon Co. provides our layout and design when we want our modules to have that extra pop.

While we work with local authors, we also work with Guests of Honor and brand new authors looking to mark publishing a D&D adventure off their bucket list. We look for a diverse group of people in the D&D community globally to work with regardless of experience or background in the industry.

A 4-hour adventure for 1st-4th level characters (optimized for 3rd level)

This shows as having VTT content: is there a Fantasy Grounds module bundled with it?

It’s not mentioned in the blurb, and I wanted to check before buying. Thanks for the reply.

I do like the story, but like many mods, it needs editing. When the adjustments for party size are considered, there are creature replacement/additions. In most mods, those creatures will be in the back. In The Blight of Geoffrey, a few are missing (i.e. Crushing Wave Priest, Bandit Captain, and Thug).

Looks like a good mod, will be running it tomorrow. I just wanted to note that the first appendix, the "Dramatis Personae" still just has the lorem ipsum text.

Layout of the cover was done by Phil Beckwith. Will update the file in the morning to add him to the credits.

This is in the VTT category, but I don't see that it is Fantasy Grounds file format?

I will reupload the .mod file when I get home. I did not zip it first, perhaps that was the issue.

There's a typo in the Rewards section.

"This item can be found in Player Handout XXX."

Should be:

"This item can be found in Player Handout 1."

Thank you! I will mark that down and update it here in a week or two in case I happened to miss any other things like that.

Thanks again for letting us know!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
