Welcome to 100 Drunken Romps for a Curious Adventurer – a fascinating list of activities an adventure may get involved in when having a bit too much to drink. All the scenarios are designed to add a bit of spice into what it typically a mundane aspect of fantasy role playing – the tavern.

Many fantasy campaigns end up in a town or tavern between adventures. Rather than just have this portion of your campaign be nothing more than a check mark, a pause if you will, between two quests, why not liven your tavern stay up and make it memorable?

Lets’ be honest. Sometimes our player characters go to a tavern to get so drink that they forget all their woes – and often a few other things. Maybe they play some drinking games or just quietly chug a fifth of the hard stuff in a quiet corner. If they are lucky, they pass out before doing something they regret later. But what about those players who stagger away from the table before passing out? This table will let you choose the outcome of the player’s excessive drinking. Sometimes it is humorous but other times it is downright dangerous.

This list can be used to choose a random romp by rolling a D100 (or 2 D10’s) or by actively choosing a particular event to fit a parcular character’s dominant personality traits.

Two addional lists are below the main list:

  • Tavern games – Cute names and brief descripions of fun games the party might encounter in a tavern or perhaps even participate in. With a little creativity, all the games can be run with dice orcards, making them perfect for a bit more interaction while kicking back and enjoying a few brews.
  • Drunken behaviors – Short descriptive ideas the game master canuse to describe how a player character acts after having a few too many drinks. These fun ideas allow the affected player(s) to do a bit more roll playing and character development.

Additionally, this product has a special tool to help you leverage your creativity called the Idea Engine - a strip of words and phrases across the top and bottom of the content pages designed generate random sparks of creativity as you peruse the book.

Available in both pdf and as an 5.5"x8.5" book.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
