Adventure Location 004 - The Bandit Camp

In the wake of the breakup of the Kingdom and the division into separate states the iron grip of law and order slackened just enough across the borderlands. This coupled with the fractured nature of the local economy and the ravaging of farmlands in the brief bloody rebellion, has left the people of the region desperate. The few merchants travelling the area have been forced to raise prices due to scarcity and this has been met with lawless activity. Banditry is on the rise once again in the borderlands.

The response has been to send in the remaining roadwardens, outriders and mercenaries of the area to try and hunt these bandits down. Now even bands of adventurers are exploring the area in the hopes of tackling this crippling problem. However, the borderlands are treacherous and it seems that this would be the perfect place for a group of outlaws to hide from prying eyes. With fresh water, dangerous switchbacks and narrow ravines it also provides easily defended areas.

The Bandit Camp sits in one such defensible ravine, sole refuge for an outlaw troupe.

This open source adventure location is a standalone scenario that is designed to fit into an existing campaign, or be the jumping off point for one.

As an open source fantasy location, the Bandit Camp is a useful site for many roleplaying games, including: Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, Zweihander RPG and of course, Dungeons & Dragons!

This document will provide you with location descriptions, hooks to get in and out of the scenario and some potential hazards and enemies that would fit into the location well. As such this document will refer to elements that should be represented by finding the appropriate stats in which ever system you choose to play.
