Hello!

I am actually just reading through the book and I have a few questions and comments. I have purchased the PDF.

First, it bothers me that the Table of Contents aren't hypeylinked. It's just way easier to have it. I don't actually mind this since I mostly bookmark pages in my pdf reader anyway but it would still be a great addition to the book.

Second, is it a choice to use "Bludgeonic" instead of "Bludgeoning?" I mean, it may have some lore tied into it but I haven't read anything else pointing to that. Given that I still haven't finished reading the book yet.

I think that's all for now. I will hold off making a review. I still need to play this so that I can form a better opinion of the mechanics. But it's very intuitive which I really like.

P.S.
I haven't read anything about it yet but, can I homebrew/make other Origins and/or skills that isn't already in the book? I do not see why not but, what is your opinion on...See more

Bookmarks are easy to fix in a future update!
Secondly, about the terms Bludgeonic and Bludgeoning. To be completely honest, most mistakes in these areas are because English is not my native language. And even though I've been comfortable with the use of the language for the past years, both in writing systems and even literature, some things still confuse me. You may come across some more similar mistakes regarding such terms I guess but I will try to fix them. To be clear, the way I perceive it (and mean to write in the book) is that Bludgeon Damage is the Damage dealt by smashing the bones/bodies of a target, which is different than Slashing or Piercing Damage. I remember asking around when I was writing it and could not decide between Bludgeon, Crushing, or other words. I will correct it.

Regarding Origins and other Content:
Yes,...See more by all means, you can create Origins, Skills, Spells, Races, and anything else you like, it's very easy and I will gladly help you with anything you need.

My advice would be the following: Do not worry too much about the balance of the game when creating stuff, in this case, Origins. One positive thing about "lethal systems" is that you cannot go wrong with powerful skills and powers easily, since everyone remains "vulnerable".

For Origins, I would advise you to first think of the concept so that you can build its template. Think about how to connect the idea with bonus Skills. You can also assign other bonuses instead of Skills such as abilities, powers from symbols, items, or even spells. Skills are the default, easy option but if something else feels right go ahead and try it out and send me a message to review what you've come up with and maybe I can help too! What I do sometimes, is adjust the balance between giving bonuses but restricting the character through other ways such as Roleplaying. For example, let's say that you want to build an Origin template that involves bonuses in several Skills. You can have the Origin give out X Skills but also add a Trigger with a negative effect. The "Outlaw" for example is granted several bonuses but can be easily restricted by the Game Master by providing challenges through encounters and events that have to do with the Outlaw's backstory (problem in cities, hunted down by authorities, not being able to buy stuff from vendors etc). Always have a Ratio in mind between Bonuses and Restrictions. This way your players will be happy by having some cool bonuses and forging the character they like but will have to face extra challenges IN GAME.
Fewer Skills = Easier to Manage
More Skills = More Challenges to Face and thus more difficult to survive.
It's a good analogy for a more cinematic game.

Thank your for your advise! This would really help me a lot in making some homebrew stuff. I think I'll be trying things on my own for now. Test things and see if it works or not. Will specially keep note of the "Ratio" between Bonuses and Restrictions in mind.

If I ever need more help with some stuff, I will ask again.

There is no incentive in purchasing a PDF that you cannot print. I could do without copy/paste enabled, although enabling that would be helpful in creating tables and GM/player stuff for personal use; but with so many other RPGs here in Drivethrurpg, that have printing and copying enabled, this presents a barrier of entry.

Guys, you really need to think about either optimizing the PDF on this, doing a lower-resolution version, or both; a 237 meg file is just kind of ridiculous, even for a 400 page book. Its essentially unreadable on my tablet because the pages load so slowly, and I suspect there are other pdf readers that might choke completely on the size.

What is the resolution system for this game? Like, what kind of dice is rolled, and how many?

You use the whole set of polyhedral dice. The type of dice you use in game depends on your attributes mostly. For example, a character with Low speed might use 1D4 but a character with Medium speed uses 1D6. This means that dice correspond to level of attributes.
I have added a lot of youtube videos that you can watch explaining the details of the system, just type meteor tales rpg and you will find it!

Your preview needs to be more than a page from a character sheet. Even for a $2 product that's true, and you're asking a stunning $30 for this.

I bought Meteor Tales in physical form from Amazon, so, it doesn't let me do a review here. So I'll write it in this section.

Meteor Tales offers a new approach to combat mechanics (mostly) as well as a nice touch in character development. It offers a whole new fantasy world for you to explore (some new races and lore that no other TTRPG has) alongside some area for improvisation from yourself. Someone might find it a bit scary to learn a completely different combat system, but it surely does worth the try. Its big plus though is that this book contains a Player's Guide, a DM's Guide and a Monster Manual with some extra lore inside, so you have all the tools you need for a great adventure with only one purchase.

- A really interesting combat system that allows great tactical maneuvers and makes you choose your next move wisely. The Action-Reaction options are so fun.
