I'm also looking forward to a physical version but I watched the BAMF podcast so I know you are working on multiple projects. Good interview, btw.

Love this book! Thank you!

Any chance of getting a physical/print-to-order version at any point?

It's a possibility, but that's not in my to-do list un the short term. I'll give more details when I'll have them.

Love this setting, but there are a few questions about things not made clear in the character options section:
1) When humans start at seasoned rank, does that mean they start with 4 advances?
2) How do I work out the intensity of the 'creature of the night' downsides for nocturnal race packages? (I can guess that vampires will probably die in sunlight but the others are less obvious)
3) The Bolk race package for Aliens seems to have much less traits than I would expect. Is this intended or has the rest of the traits been cut-off due to formatting?

Want to reiterate that I think this setting is amazing and I'm hoping it will get me back into GMing. Everything else in the book is very clear and for what appears to be your first rulebook you have done a smashing job!

1. They start with 4 advances. Everybody creates their character as normal, then humans select 4 advances and start at the Seasoned rank. Please note they are limited to only one Seasoned advance, since the first three where Novice ones.
2. Wolfmen and Dokkalfars simply lose all their bonuses from their race during the day. Trolls are incapacitated during the day (turn to stone), but recover next nightfall. Imps and Vampires suffer one wound if they fail their check each round under sunlight. You are welcome to use the guidelines provided to create your own racial packages, however.
3.Bolks are balanced. They have no additional racial penalties, but less racial bonuses to compensate.

Adobe Acrobat on Galaxy S10 Android renders this whole book as gibberish!?

It's a known issue. I'm trying to fix this, but it can be solved by just using another reader (everything else I tested worked just fine), or by reading on a laptop (including with Acrobat, which only bugs on mobile)

I'd recommend EbookDroid. It has fewer bugs than Acrobat or Foxit.

I'm not having this issue so I can't see what you're experiencing, but I had an issue with a different PDF where the font appeared as gibberish. The fix was very simple. After opening in Adobe, I saved the file, closed it, then reopened the saved file. I don't know why that fixed it, but it did. I don't know if your problem is the same, but it might be worth a shot.

I don't appear to have a save mode in my Acrobat on my phone. I had one other seller have this problem and he managed to fix it. If you don't want to put in the effort just refund me and I'll avoid buying from your store. I would prefer the fix.

I'm investigating how to fix this right now.

After further investigation, it seems the issue is Acrobat Reader not recognizing a font in the document. I will try to isolate which font is the problem and solve this, but in the meantime, I suggest using another pdf reading app. No other app appears to have this issue.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
