Retro Sci-Fi Rules is an excellent update from the original 1977 three little black books into the Cepheus engine rule set, all bound under one cover. Also included are rules for solo play and rules pulled from the classic traveller companion, translated into the Cepheus engine. Overall a great example of what's old is new again and that some great ideas are timeless. Six Stars!

Quantum Starfarer is a quick 33 page sci-fi game and a delightful read. And it's a great primer for jumping into Cepheus Deluxe or any of Stella Gamma's 2d6 based games. And the price point is outstanding. Your gaming to cost ratio more than balances out with this rule set.

The interior is black and white with stock public domain photos and the layout is well done and easy to read. Character creation is simple as is combat, starship building, and world building. The quality is typical of Stella Gamma. Excellent.

Despite my flippart remark in the discussions section, Gamma World 2e was arguably the best example of the game. In my opinion and others may disagree. And I'm not expert.

Each chapter in the main rule book and adventure book are a clear and concise rewrite from 1st edition.

Robots were clarified and added to, as well as the bestiary section, including illustrations by Elmore.

The leveling up system from 1st edition was scrapped in favor of earning ranks in cryptic alliances and social improvement.

Everything in 2e is backwards compatible with 1e.

And I'll be clear. I'm giving the 2nd edition gamma world rpg overall five stars; while the pdf e copy earns one star.

Monster's Macabre is a monster and DIY supplement for Cryptworld. The book is easy to read and it illustrates more monsters for use or to spike your imagination in writing your own material for Cryptworld.

Plus sections in the back provide tables for creating your own monster hunting organizations, and how to create your own monsters for Cryptworld play and how to play monsters in your own Cryptworld games. This last is similar to the Creature Feature supplement written years ago for pacesetter's original CHILL game.

A must for both horror game fans and Cryptworld fans. Great job Goblinoid Games!

Cryptworld is an updated version of the old chill rules as written by pacesetter from the 1980s. The game system incorporates all the old supplemental rule material (creature feature) into a tight package and the game system is steamlined, balanced, and complete.

Also, Cryptworld runs easily due to the simplicity of the pacesetter action table, making this game compatible with Majus, Rotworld, TimeMaster, Star Ace, and the original (1st Edition) CHILL. And all their supplimental material.

Plus, Cryptworld lends itself well to DIY horror worlds and the authors provide good examples on how to create your own monster hunting societies. A wonderful toolbox and at a great price. Great job Goblinoid Games!

Mythras is a great rule set for any fantasy campaign; fully supported by a host of products from the design mechanism. Modern, medieval, or ancient or fantastic, Mythras can handle any era well. Clearly Mythras is built to last.

Thom Wilson's fanzine for gamma world first edition is a lot of fun and reinforces first edition's scope. Moreover it represents what can be done with a tried and true set of sparely written rules for this often overlooked TSR game. I also recommend issue one and both adventures published by Throwi Games: A dish that served no one and Into the Wreckage.

Great stuff for gamma world fans!

The filmography in the back is worth the price of the book alone. My one stop shopping for all game elements set in the 1950s. A copy of this and Attack Squadron Roswell from Zozer games will give a gamer/reader high caliber material for the decade of A Bombs and giant radioactive ants! Six Stars.

Dead of Night is a lot of fun and easy to learn. It's a rules lite system, with enough punch for detail lovers and the rules are well written and easy to read. The system is genreless and horror games from any era can be played. Whatever kind of movie or story or style of horror is represented.

Simple, easy, and versatile; and perfectly suited to gamers who like horror but don't have a lot of time to prep or play. Highly recommended and on a technical side, the pdf is clear and the scan color is vibrant. And lots of free downloads on Steampower's website. Great game!
