Arms and Equipment provides relatively little that the core rule book does not. Since D&D weapons are little more than carefully balanced stat lines the new new equipment is by and large not only more of the same, but not worth ever taking the exotic weapon feats needed to use them. The poison and alchemical sections are the highlight of the book but definitely do not make this worth the $11 dollar price tag. There is nothing here you could home brew with the most minimal of effort and I've seen much better house ruled content on the various D&D wikis. This book really lacks anything exciting or sufficiently different to justify picking up and the advice in here is very, very basic to the point that it is covered by dozens of youtube channels. Skip Arms and Equipment and instead pick up something like the complete Rogues or Adventure's handbook which include new interesting items along with feats and classes.

Vast information for basic weapon types. Good work with pictures of the weapon described, wich is basically what i was looking for. I have my own damage system anyway, that i have created it using information from various Ad&d books. The add on about mount barding is very handy and usefull.<br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: The vast details about adenturer equipment, and mount barding.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: The luck of information about oriental weapons. Not very realistic artwork in some parts of the book wich is in my opinion essential for a book of that type.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Acceptable<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>

The other Arms & Equipment Guide (same thing, different entry) had a review complaining about how pages were missing or out of order. I don't know if this one is the fixed version, or if both have been fixed now, but all the pages appear to be there, and I didn't see any out of order. Of course, I haven't looked at every single page yet.

The scan quality seems pretty good, although I don't print these out so I'm not sure if there's problems reproducing the book on paper. However, these pages take longer to resolve in Adobe Reader than other TSR pdf's I've gotten, which I suspect may be from an increase in the scan resolution.

The bookmarks are the bare minimum, with about four links, one to each of the major sections. While this could be a lot better, some of the TSR pdf's have no bookmarks so it could be worse.<br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: Good descriptions of the arms & equipment, including some interesting stuff like how often the armor should be replaced. The pictures were informative and I liked the art (especially the full page art).<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Some of the pictures are of obvious things (hoods?), and some of the obscure things did not have pictures that would have helped. Also, the bookmarks could be better.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>
