This is great. Not only is it a really good adventure for Vaesen, but extremely well researched from someone with a passion for the folklore of a region of England that is rarely explored in RPG's. If you are from the region (as I, and my fellow players, are) then the real places make it a lovely read and will make the adventure very atmospheric. Nice!

This is really, really, good. The style and presentation is excellent. They have become an immediate favourite with our playing group. The depth it adds to the characters is really good and the players have found it really helps them flesh out thier character. The Runic Personality is our favourite amd all our players have really thought out why the runes are important to them and how they affect the characters personality, and, how the player plays them.
They also keep the character story live - without wearing out pieces oof paper. My daughter went through it and said that "it is amazing".

Just what I have been looking for. A part of Glorantha where the characters can belong to Lunar and Orlanthi cults side by side. We have tried Lunar characters in Dragon Pass and they just dont seem to work. Detailed, intelligent and full of the deep richness of Glorantha. Players are enjoying creating characters with the rich character histories. I am scribbling lots of adventure ideas and localised background inspired by this book. I find I get creative when given this standard of products. Great stuff. Thank you

Mythras is a greaat games system and this is the perfect way to use that rules system in a Sci-fi setting. Very intelligently put together. It was easy to generate characcters and get started. Hope there will be more adventures for it.

This is really good stuff. It is often difficult to make wilderness adventures interesting and this helps immensely - regardless of what system you use. Its title sums it up. Worth every penny. Thank you.

This is very good. As a GM you often look for a work that gives you a pre-made adventure that can slot in well in any campaign with very little work. Or as a one shot where your players can knock out a few characters just for a few sessions play. This is nicely put together with some lovely art, nice maps and tidy presentation. Lots of thought has gone in to the background and it shows, again making it easy to use.

Mike wrote "One of the greatest scenarios ever written for RuneQuest and the world of Glorantha" and I whole-heartedly agree. This is a work of sheer genius (or sheer madness). What I love about Nicks work is that he is a painter of the world of Gorantha, bringing it to life (with the immense aid of Mike O'Connors art) but, not only that, Nick is a teacher. His side notes and musings help a GM to run a game and to improve in their role as GM and storyteller. I (and those I play with) loved Duel at Dangerford as it turned out to be the go to starter adventure for Glorantha and this transcends that work.

The write up that describes this work is perfect. The description is exactly what the product is. Indispensable is what it will become to many of us. There's so much in it. New skills and magic, all closely linked to runes or themes (like War for example). It means no two characters need ever have the same spells or skills again. I sense the influence of Heroquest here which had me reaching for my books to see what I could convert. Nicely done.

This is a little gem of a supplement. Clearly written by those with a passion for this setting. It details a slum area with compassion and is very detailed. The side bars are excellent and the NPC's fit the setting very well. Lots of plot and hook lines. Again - a gem.

This is called Tradition which is very suitable as this series of background information, hooks, plots and adventures have a very fine tradition. 20 years ago I played Runequest set in Sun Country and this has completely taken me back. Great stuff.

Wonderful artwork worthy of the WOTC publications. Nice character classes and races. The only thing that stopped me giving it a 5 was that the gods and goddesses and cities have different names. Not sure why they didn't stick with the original pantheon and city states. It really put my players off.

Not sure how I missed this before (I guess the blessings of having family landed about the period I stopped playing Runequest). Wasn't sure what to expect from looking at the cover, but it is a delight. Didn't expect it to be so er...entertaining. The write up on what happens if you dont pay your taxes is very different.
I liked the PDF so much I got the book as soon as it came out. Delivery was prompt and they kept me well informed of the delivery status. The book is very nice, lovely cover art and well bound etc. Cannot complain.

The old edition was never generally available - from memory, we were only allowed to print fifty copies for each run of our fifty-player freeform, so if you weren't in the game you'd have to buy an unwanted copy off one of the players afterwards. I'm glad you're enjoying our book, and that everyone who wants a copy can buy one now, thanks to the Chaosium's excellent Jonstown Compendium webstore. |

This is excellent. Extremely well put together, with a lot of care and attention. We used to play all our adventures in this region 20 years ago, so this has really taken me back.
