The artwork is good, the story is cheesy with a cheesecake heroine working for the Vatican and fighting evil vampires, but if you don't have a problem with that the story is fine.

The art is nice, the story is mostly just filling in the reader on what is going on in the world of the Witchblade & The Darkness. Okay if you're unfamiliar with the series, but unessential if you are.

The art is okay, story works, although some characters speak in infodumps rather than more natural sounding dialogue.

The art on the first part is okay, the "story" is just there to fill people in on what's what & who's who. The art on the preview of The Magdalena isn't as good and just sets up events in an upcoming issue.

The art is okay, the story is... serviceable. This is a spinoff of the Witchblade with the new host of the Angelus a victim of a conspiracy of the leader of the host that serves the Angelus.

The art is okay, the "story" is a short (5 pages) recap of what has happened in the universe, but isn't really essential.

Good art, the story, while not exactly new or groundbreaking, does it's job and is a interesting read.

An okay primer and game tie-in on what The Darkness is and who Jackie Estacado is, art's okay, writing does it's job.

The art is okay, this issue is mostly backstory and setting up the world it takes place in as well as showing the capabilities of the main character, but doesn't really feel all that necessary.

The writing and art work well for the grim and gritty story this is.

Good art, the writing is okay, but it does what it needs to, introduce the character and give her a powerful weapon.

The art is nice. Five pages is short for preview, but the writer is smart enough to focus it on an aspect of the main character so it almost feels like an origin story.

The art is nice, but my pdf copy is missing all the text for the story.

Not so good art, and other than the fact it's set in WWI doesn't really say much about the characters or coming story. The cover and some of the additional art indicates they will be fighting monsters which would have made for a better preview.

The art is okay, but the story feels like a John Carter of Mars pastiche, although it does develop an interesting twist as regards the prophecy.
