I have to agree with the other reviewers, a surperbly made map. CSP has made this available in a 4 page, Jpeg, and poster versions (text or no text). You can use the no text versions for your own campaign, etc And they certainly print out well; very well indeed.

A number of the location names most definitely conjure up MERP/LotR sounding locales.

The level of detail to the map (rivers, mountains, villages, etc.) is very good.

At £1.14/$1.50, you'd be daft not to purchase this (for the AoS theme or your own).

This is a stunningly beautiful map. Not only is it artistic and well-designed from a mapmaking standpoint, it makes sense geographically, unlike many fantasy maps. What I mean is, rivers flow the way they should, mountains look like real mountain ranges, forests look like forests do on on real maps, towns are placed sensibly (by river fords, etc). There are no silly pun-based place names. There is a clear Tolkien influence in the names. The creator gives you an unlabeled versions so you can use the map for your own campaign if you prefer.

This set of beautiful maps for the Age of Shadows game is absolutely stunning. I cant wait to see this line expanded. I am eager to see what Crooked Staff do with this product. I want more background, detailed cities and gazetteer please for all these amazing locales.

I'm really enjoying browsing this large map -especially from the perspective of it's use as a "fits-all" map - the version, that is, without labels. This map looks as good as, if not better than, some of the colour Middle Earth maps from ICE. CSP have developed a style that is both computer-crisp whilst remaining respectful hand drawn styles in vintage maps. Very good value, considering it's usefulness even in part for encounters in the wilderness or larger campaign building. Exquisite!
