This is a sprawling interconnected series of rooms, caves and caverns. Very similar to the Keep on the Borderland Caverns of Chaos or the caves could be used for WotC's Chaos Scar. There are over 200 caves/rooms. This is a no frills, no color product and for the price a very good buy.

You're getting exactly what you see here. Caverns of Chaos is a very fun tribute to the classic D&D module. You get large scale section maps that can be pieced together to form a single map. Or, you can work from a smaller overview map.

Two bucks is what it costs you to be able to plunk down this classic dungeon crawl tonight. Sprinkle with monsters and you've got a game. Caverns of Chaos is another example of what gamers love about 0one games.

Actually, it is an homage to a classic among D&D adventures, B2: The Caves of Chaos. Similarly to that venerable work, this product presents a canyon full of interconnecting, twisted caverns inhabited by a variety of evil creatures. The included material offers some speculative thoughts to kickstart your imagination, including several tribes of evil humanoids and some truly different encounters, but ultimately, it is up to you how you choose to fill out your lairs.

The main thing is, this product can save you several hours of tedious mapping and let you get right to the good parts of adventure design. It's also handy if your adventurers go off on a tangent one night and you need a quickie adventure to spring on them. Simply print these maps ahead of time and you can use them individually or as a whole. Though most of the caverns are interconnected, it's easy enough to close off a corridor here or there, leaving an isolated cave perfect for some horrible beastie to call a lair.

As is always the case with 0one Games, the work is high quality and very customizable. I own very nearly the complete series of Blueprints and I've found them to be not only quite useful, but very helpful in sparking adventure ideas. I had some thoughts of my own about how to fill it out when I purchased this product, but reading through the suggestions, I was so enamored by some of the ideas that 0one presented, I swapped much of what I had in mind for their suggestions!

Oh, and I should mention that I'm using this product in my 4E D&D games, and it works every bit as well and under the 3.5, 3E, 2E, or 1E rules. It should function equally well with GURPS, Fantasy Hero, TWERPS, or what-have-you.

Hauntingly familiar to an ageing role-player, this set of maps is an inspired tribute and homage to an early AD&D adventure, Descent into the Depths of the Earth. A long valley with interesting nooks and crannies to stick your nose into, provided you are prepared to do battle with whoever happens to live there, this version is expanded into an area which your players will come back to again and again given half a chance, and filled with the creative uses of PDF technology that regular users of 0one Games maps have come to expect.

There are a total of 19 separate areas to play in, distributed over 6 pages of map. In usual Blueprint style, they are available to print in blue or in black, with a nice touch being a new control which enables you to select 'Print the blue ones' or 'Print the black ones' rather than having to go through the document choosing each page that you want. The 'Rule the Dungeon' control gives you the choice of grid lines, levels, doors, text and much more, and there's an option to add a compass rose (North pointer) to the pages if you wish.

The maps are detailed, with plenty of furniture and such like scattered around (if you chose that option when you Rule your Dungeon); and there are ready reference sheets at the back where you can jot down short descriptions of each individual chamber shown - although you need to print these out and then write on them, it's not a case of text boxes.

There is huge scope here for adventure, be it a straight dungeon crawl - perhaps with your characters returning several times - or an interlinked complex, a mountain fastness of evil that needs to be cleared out. It's different from the original inspiration and yet evocative - so those with long memories will not have an advantage, yet can wax nostalgic about their earlier adventures. Overall, a fine piece of work, maintaining the traditions of the classic dungeon crawl into the 21st century!

A caves of chaos blueprint, and I love it, I'm currently running DnD 3.5 for some friend's kids. I'm tempted to get them to make up low level characters just so I can run them through this.
