Remember that this is the "player's book" (or the lighter book the DM will take into to game evenings), with all the sets of rules. If you are looking to fully get into the game, go for the Core book that has all the juicy stuff inside. If you're not into PDFs or PODs, wait for the retail book that will hit retail shops in April /// From my MeWe group. Did I tell you to look for AQUELARRE RPG IN ENGLISH there? ///

Today, I received an order of DriveThruRPG print-on-demand Aquelarre books for my collection. They come from the print in the UK, and were received by standard mail with no surprise taxes attached.

Here (there) you have a comparison of the english edition of the Breviarium (print-on-demand) vs Spanish edition. English is supposed to be a language that has shorter words and sentences ... but this yankee breviarium is 20 pages longer than the spanish one, even when it uses the same font and layout ... The book is even thicker because of the heavier paper stock required by PODs. I do very much prefer the darker cover of the spanish edition. This one is only available in "standard color" (while it's greyscale, so it doesn't matter much).

The other item I received today is the Fatum Sperantia adventure that come bundled with the original DM screen not the three panel one that was published with the Kickstarter . They have wisely repurposed this forty pages adventure as an standalone issue. The POD is nice and recycles the full color central panels of that screen as front and back cover (although I would have made the title and Aquelarre logo stand out more). The inside is also printed in full color and looks very nice, in the line of the look of the Core book, while the POD printing is "standard color", so the ink is matte and it looks less appealing.

I'm waiting for my "premium color" copy Asturias Medievalia to hit my mailbox soon, so then I'll be able to compare
